Moments de Flors in Calella 2025
A spring exhibition in the streets of the town
Calella is a town that knows how to win hearts. With a calendar full of cultural activities, festivals and events for all tastes, spring becomes one of the most special times to discover it. In May, nature takes center stage and the streets fill with color, scents and creativity with the celebration of Moments de Flors, one of the most beloved spring events of the year.
What is Moments de Flors?
Moments de Flors is the successor of the classic Roses Exhibition Contest of Catalonia and is part of Calella’s commitment to urban decoration with plants and flowers. As a “Vila Florida” (Flowering Town), recognized by the Ornamental Horticulture Confederation of Catalonia (CHOC), Calella highlights the care of green spaces and love for its environment.
For one weekend, balconies, courtyards, gardens and emblematic corners are adorned with floral decorations created by local artists and florists. The event transforms the city into a large open-air garden, offering a unique opportunity to visit public and private spaces that are often not open to the public.
A floral route full of discoveries
From May 24 to June 1, 2025, visitors can follow a route through more than 20 decorated spots around the city. With a map in hand, the flower trail takes you to discover historic façades such as Can Quadras, Can Borràs or Can Saula, and sites like the Chapel of Sant Quirze i Santa Julita, the Tourism Museum or the Old Town Hall.
You can also visit the Municipal Archive Museum, the courtyard of the Can Salvador de la Plaça Library, the Escola Pia and the emblematic Parc Dalmau, among others. In addition, there will be complementary activities such as live music (concerts by students from the Can Llobet Music School) and children’s flower workshops in the Municipal Market Square.
