What to do in Calella when it rains?

Discover our four proposals to enjoy Calella when the weather doesn’t cooperate

The moment you’ve been waiting for has arrived: your vacation in Calella. You’ve planned your getaway, eager to disconnect and explore the city, but upon arrival… the sky is gray, and the rain makes its appearance. But don’t worry!

Even if the weather isn’t ideal, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your vacation. From Hotel Bernat II, we suggest several activities to enjoy Calella under the rain: from cultural options to moments of relaxation, always with comfort and well-being in mind. Because even with bad weather, there are pleasant ways to make the most of your stay.

Although Calella is known for its beaches and outdoor activities, it also offers a variety of possibilities in case of rain. Discover below what you can do during your stay:

1. Enjoy our Spa and Wellness Area

This plan is ideal if what you’re looking for is relaxation during your vacation. Especially if there’s rain! Hotel Bernat II offers you a Spa and Wellness Area where you can enjoy a hydro-massage pool, a Finnish sauna, a Turkish bath, and sequential bi-thermal showers. Additionally, you can complement this with the booking of massages ranging from relaxing, anti-stress, or rejuvenating treatments to treatments with clay or chocolate.

The Spa price is €12 with prior reservation, or €43 with prior reservation and availability if you wish to book it exclusively.

For more information or to make your reservation, you can stop by the hotel reception or send an email to hotelbernat@hotelbernat.com.

2. Visit the museums you’ll find in the city

Calella offers a great cultural proposal, and you will find different museums or exhibitions to familiarize yourself with its culture. The main museums are:

  • Museu Arxiu Municipal de Calella: it contains a permanent exhibition that traces the history of the town through archaeology, ceramics, textile machinery, trades, and domestic life.
  • Museu del Turisme: a hybrid between a modern space with technological and contemporary installations and the chronological narration of the cultural heritage of tourism.

You will also find various temporary exhibitions that you can visit during your stay (and many of them are free!). To know which ones are available during your stay, you can consult our monthly agenda, which will provide information about all the activities offered in Calella monthly.

3. Make the most of our lobby

The lobby of our hotel also offers you various activities so you can enjoy a rainy day. On one hand, we have a space dedicated to games, where you’ll find a foosball table, a pool table, or a ping-pong table. If you prefer something more relaxed, you can stop by the reception and ask for board games or card decks.

On the other hand, on the shelves of our lobby, you’ll also find various books that you can use without commitment. We have around thirty readings in different languages so you can immerse yourself in literature and have a good time during these rainy days.

4. Calella, a city of leisure

For the more active, Calella also offers a variety of leisure centers and activities that you can do indoors and that will make you fall in love with the city. Activities like escape rooms, a bowling alley, or arcade game rooms. If you have more questions, feel free to stop by the reception, and they’ll provide more information.

So, even if the weather doesn’t cooperate, there are always options in Calella to make the most of your day. Whether you’re relaxing at the hotel, discovering its cultural offerings, or enjoying a quiet plan, you’ll find different alternatives to keep your stay in Calella enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you!
