Moments of Flowers in Calella
This weekend, the long-awaited Moments of Flowers was celebrated in Calella, a recent tradition embraced by our town that has been coloring the streets, filling them with scents, and creating beautiful contrasts for several editions.
These two days are very special because, although the rest of the year we can escape into the trees of Dalmau Park or be mesmerized by the floral gardens along Bruguera Street, between building and building, during these two days we can also enjoy the balconies, terraces, and gardens decorated by the neighbors who join the initiative.
This time, we have 48 hours to visit all the most emblematic corners, both public and private, that have been adorned for the occasion and exceptionally open their doors for visitors to also enjoy these works of art, some temporary and some permanent.
With the help of gardeners, florists from Calella, and landscapers, over 18 spaces in Calella have been decorated with floral motifs. These are the spaces that could be visited this year:
- Museum of Tourism
- Escoles Pies
- Chapel of Sant Quirze and Santa Julita
- Can Prat
- Patio and Stairs of the Can Salvador de la Plaça Library
- Can Marrè
- Balconies of Can Saleta (Hostal Vell)
- Balcony of the Old Town Hall
- Balcony of the Town Hall
- Church Square
- Balconies of Can Campaneria and Can Nualart (former house of Roger de la Plaça)
- Balcony of Can Basart
- Josep M. Codina and Bagué Municipal Archive Museum
- Calella Lighthouse
- Can Borràs
- Dalmau Park and Muntanyeta Zone. Friends of Dalmau Park Association
The Calella Merchants’ Association also participates, joining this unique celebration by decorating stores, shops, and windows with various flowers, decorations, and colors.
If you love celebrating special days with flower bouquets, if you treat your plants as one of your most precious possessions, or if you eagerly await the fleeting spring every year, you can’t miss these two days in Calella!
