Calella’s Town Festival 2025
From September 19th to 23rd, come and experience the Minerva Festivities and discover the authentic Calella
If there is a moment of the year when Calella truly transforms, it is September. With the arrival of autumn, the city enjoys its most anticipated days with the celebration of the Minerva Festival, Calella’s main festivity. This year it will take place from September 19 to 23, 2025, and as always, it will offer a full program of activities for all ages. Whether you are from the area or visiting Calella for the first time, we invite you to stay a few days and enjoy this celebration full of culture, music, and tradition. Below, you will find a preview of what awaits you.
A festival for everyone
For five days, Calella comes alive. The streets are decorated, and the festive spirit can be felt from morning until late at night. The Festival includes parades with giants, sardana dances, family activities, concerts at the beach pavilion, and plenty of celebrations. Whether you love popular culture or prefer nightlife, you will find your place at the Minerva Festival.
But if there is one event that captivates everyone, it is undoubtedly the Fira de Calella and the Alt Maresme Fair. This year marks its 44th edition, dedicated to the Lleida region, offering the chance to discover its culture, gastronomy, and crafts without leaving the city. The fair stretches along the Passeig de Mar, where you can stroll among local craft stalls, taste typical products, and learn about the work of Calella’s sports clubs and social associations. It is traditional to buy coca or secallones, a thin and elongated cured sausage considered by many as “the flavor of the festival.”
Tradition, gastronomy, and fun for the little ones
The Fair also thinks of the little ones. As every year, there will be an amusement fair with Ferris wheels, carousels, and various rides so that children can also enjoy the Festival in their own way. In addition, this 2025, as a novelty, there will be a water park with slides especially designed for families. A refreshing and fun space to enjoy the last afternoons of summer together.
