At the end of May and the beginning of October, Calella hosts the Ironman 70.3 Barcelona and Ironman Barcelona, two of the world’s most famous long-distance triathlon competitions, since 2014. Since 2005, Calella’s beach has hosted top European beach handball teams. This tournament, which was not well known at first, has achieved great participation success in recent years.
